Spring Table

Our first Spring table of the year.
Blues and greens are one of my favorite color combinations.
I also love nests, eggs, and bunnies!

This is my first time to used these glass 'ribbon bowls'.
I saw them used for an autumn table with a fresh pear inside.
{They were under $3 a piece.}

My sister lives by a ribbon outlet.
One Spring when we were visiting,
I bought a million [possibly not an exaggeration]
yards of this green/blue plaid for about $10.

The bunnies are actually bookends that I bought from Pier One.
I love the little topiary bunny in the tulips.
{Also a find from Pier One.}

Happy Spring!

You can see another table setting with the bunny plates HERE.

St. Patrick's Day Table

I pulled out some fun green/white dishes for our
St. Patrick's Day table.

Cheers to St. Patrick's Day and green!

Sunday Table

I can't believe how quickly December is flying.

Here is one of our recent Sunday tables.
This was a fun table to pull together -- shopping my closets.

Traditional Christmas red and green -- squares felt place mats, dishes and bowls.

Glittered pine cones in red and green.
{I was so excited to find this 'car/tree' salt shaker set
at our favorite grocery store -- so cute.}

 Holly and Flower (Ciroa).

The stemware was my favorite after-after Christmas sale purchase last year.
 $1 each!
{Their regular price was a little more than $10.00 a piece.}

Specifically to the 275th Tablescape Thursday.

Enjoy your weekend!

More Christmas in Our Kitchen

I love Christmas dishes!
{Possibly an obsession I can pin on my mother?}
I would have to say these are some of my favorites!
I love that they are uneven circles and more artsy than most of my dishes.
I love that they are made in Italy and look as if they should hold mounds of
pasta and delicious 'minestra maritata'
I love that they have three shades of green on them.

 I've posted about this sleigh before.
All of our holiday cards find their way to the sleigh.
We read them, share beautiful memories about our connections to
each family, and we pray for the people that send them.
We are blessed to have amazing people in our lives.

Christmas in Our Kitchen 2013

Our first Sunday table f or the month of December.

Chair bows are 'junque' bows made from old tissue,
wrapping paper, ribbon and vintage sewing patterns.

In our family we have a little tradition in December called 'red envelopes'.
Each night we find a fun holiday prep written inside our red envelope.
Tonight we begin our advent calendars!

Damask October Table 2013

Simple table for Sunday.
Damask plates from Pottery Barn several years ago --
bought on clearance.
Fun Halloween plates with damask elements --
I have 6 -- hoping to find two more at some point.
Until then the matching damask plates work fine when we are feeding 8.

Spider web orange/black fabric by Moda.

The little black spiders are magnets.
We found them earlier this year.
Placemats are from Hobby Lobby,
originally used for this orange birthday table.
