December Table -- Christmas in the Kitchen 2014

This year we decorate our kitchen in red & aqua.
{The fun plates are from Hobby Lobby 50% off.}
We pulled out a lot of things from our stash, but the dishes we found this year
at Hobby Lobby.   {We love all things retro, so these were a fun addition to our holiday!}

There are 4 different patterns --
a santa, a snowman, a reindeer, and an elf.
We were able to find two of each.

The truck hauling the bottlebrush tree is one from our truck/tree collection.
They usually sit on a shelf in our powder room, but we've used them a few
times in tabletop decorating this year.

The salt/pepper set are my favorite.
The butter dish gift is always out during the holidays.

Last year we hung ornaments in the kitchen over our windows.
My girls loved it, so we decided to do it again this year.

A Sunday Table in November

I love this month of giving thanks!

Here is our first Sunday table of November.
{I love the chalkboard quote that I found on Pinterest.}
--
"Inhale love,
Exhale gratitude."

Simple centerpiece.
{Still looking for a huge thrifted turkey -- a turkey tureen would be the jackpot!}

White scollop dishes -- Nicole Miller
Turkey bowls -- Celebration by Spode

The chairback pockets are from Pottery Barn [many moons ago].
A place to tuck notes {and things we are thankful for}
during the month of November.

 I was looking through some of my photos trying to find
any November tables set in 2013, and I couldn't find any.
I thought it was so strange that I didn't have photos,
or blog posts, or memory of any tables.
Then I remembered I broke my foot last November,
and not much happened the entire month!
{I probably never set the table at all!}

Anyhow, after reliving that memory,
today I am feeling especially thankful for health and healing!
The two collages below are from tables set in November 2012 before
I started keeping track of my tables at A Sunday Table.

Halloween Table

One last October table...Happy Halloween!

The damask plates are several years old.
I bought them on clearance from Pottery Barn when we were living in Mississippi.
I've been hoping to find two of these Halloween plates to add to my collection all season.
But no luck, until today!
2 black/white Halloween plates at Hobby Lobby -- found a purchased!
A spider and a pumpkin plate to add to my collection for next year.

So excited!!!!!!

Halloween Table

We are excited for Halloween --
here is our first 2014 October table.

Originally, we had 3 different plate patterns.
{My mom/dad found one plate that wasn't available in our area!  Thanks mom/dad!}
So we now have 4 -- witch, owls, cat, and skull.

My kiddos like the owls...

And the skull with the mustache...

Spring Table

Our first Spring table of the year.
Blues and greens are one of my favorite color combinations.
I also love nests, eggs, and bunnies!

This is my first time to used these glass 'ribbon bowls'.
I saw them used for an autumn table with a fresh pear inside.
{They were under $3 a piece.}

My sister lives by a ribbon outlet.
One Spring when we were visiting,
I bought a million [possibly not an exaggeration]
yards of this green/blue plaid for about $10.

The bunnies are actually bookends that I bought from Pier One.
I love the little topiary bunny in the tulips.
{Also a find from Pier One.}

Happy Spring!

You can see another table setting with the bunny plates HERE.
