Back-to-School Family Dinner Completed

I love our family traditions and how they've grown.

The cafeteria trays I usually use for our back-to-school dinners.

Here are a few pictures as I was setting things up -- lots of blue and yellow.

The theme this year was lemon related (obviously).

We talked about how we will all experience lemons in life.
We can't control what we are given.
We can control how we respond.

Each little item in the buckets represented something about the new year.

We talked about --
being loving and kind
how to work towards goals and dreams
 {no pearl without some grit}
teamwork and minds working together

Lemon bars and cupcakes topped with lemon curd frosting for dessert.

I also sprinkled lemon drops on the table right before dinner.

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy start back to school!
